Liora’s Butterfly Onderland was designed as a modern take on the classic fairytale birthday – soft, immersive, and intentionally elevated.

Set against Rooftop on Bree a light-filled contemporary venue in Cape Town, the celebration blended sculptural balloon installations, oversized butterfly details, floating transparent elements, and layered pastel tones to create an atmosphere that felt whimsical without becoming overly themed.

The palette focused on blush pink, lavender, lilac, cream, and soft violet, paired with translucent styling moments and modern lounge elements for a more editorial approach to children’s event design.

Guests stepped into an experiential space featuring interactive entertainment, pastel soft play, fairy-inspired performers, curated activity tables, custom cookies, candy floss, waffles, and playful hospitality details designed for both children and adults to enjoy.

One of the standout design features was the suspended butterfly installation floating throughout the venue to create movement, softness, and depth within the space. Combined with bubble performances, layered textures, and contemporary floral styling, the event captured the feeling of a dreamy butterfly garden reimagined through a modern lens.
