Some days just glow. Sophia’s Blessing was one of those, full of love, light and soft pink hues drifting through the winelands air. Hosted at InHarmonie in Franschhoek, followed by a relaxed brunch at The Bakery at La Motte, the day was calm, graceful, and beautifully personal.

The Blessing

The morning began in the whitewashed chapel at InHarmonie, peaceful, sunlit and simple in the most perfect way. We styled the space in white and blush tones, with clouds of baby’s breath framing the altar. Little gold touches and candlelight brought warmth and magic to the moment.

It felt pure and gentle just as a blessing should.

The Brunch

After the service, guests wandered down to The Bakery at La Motte for a garden-style brunch under the trees. Cream parasols, white balloons and pastel florals set the tone  relaxed, elegant and full of heart.

We layered textures of linen, rattan and garden blooms to complement La Motte’s natural beauty. It was the kind of gathering where kids ran barefoot across the lawns and grown-ups sipped rosé under soft shade, simple joy at its best.

The Little Details

We always say the magic is in the details and this celebration had plenty:

• A delicate gold swan emblem tucked into the stationery and cake pops
• Blush ribbons and dainty bows that tied the story together
• A white castle jump house for the little ones (which might have stolen the show)
• A dessert table filled with hand-painted biscuits and cake pops
