Jaxson turns three!
We’ve been looking forward to Jaxson’s dinosaur themed party for ages! This is the second party we have conceptualized and created for our dinosaur obsessed Jaxson and his mom Chenel, of the popular Cape Town blog, Raising Wildlings.
Jaxson is completely obsessed with dinosaurs and was rattling off all of the dinosaur names for us during the set up (embarrassingly he knew them better than what we did, haha!). We used blue as our feature colour for the celebration and worked with various shades of the colour to bring the set up to life, it looked really great against the green of Chenel and Eugene’s beautifully landscaped outdoor garden.
Luckily we had moved down a few levels of our national lockdown since our last party, Amelia’s Rainbow Party, you can see more of her party here, and Jaxson was allowed an extra friend at his party table, besides his siblings and cousins.
As always, our wonderful industry friends came through for us, bringing our vision to life.
We collaborated with Erin and Warren from Happinest Hire, who provided us with custom created hexagonal plinths and their amazing Bunny & Hutch table for the kids to be seated at, we paired this with our kiddies ghost chairs and in true Boutique Petit fashion, personalised with dinosaur themed vinyl stickers.
As per usual, Sabena from Fairy Cakes outdid her self with the incredible sugar artistry. Not one but two dinosaur-themed cakes and the accompanying sweet treats, consisting of the most delicious macarons, cupcakes, iced biscuits, donuts, and rice krispie squares. The macarons and iced biscuits were constructed to be 3D and formed part of our table decor.
Each little guest received a personalised Boutique Petit signature PVC party box designed to the theme and filled with treats and bubbles.
And last but not least, let’s talk about the balloons, The Cape Town Balloon Company went above and beyond and created the balloon dinosaur of our dreams, this formed the perfect backdrop for our party set up, in all the gorgeous shades of blue.
Mick Creative was there to capture all the lovely party details, the setup, the kids snacking away on delicious party treats & having the best celebration. The Cape Town weather was showing off once again and even though there was undoubtedly a sugar rush for the parents to deal with after, it seems that we had another successful celebration for sweet Jaxson.
