Construction Party

Construction Party

Jaxson turns two!

Jaxson’s construction themed party was our first party set up with Chenel of the popular Cape Town blog, Raising Wildlings.

We loved getting to know the family. Jaxson is the middle child, the sweetest little boy, full of life and mischief and most of all obsessed with all things construction. Naturally, we were put to the task of making his construction party dreams come true!

This is fast becoming our most popular party theme. The party set up was for ten little guests in his grandparent’s garden in Durbanville, Cape Town. They had an absolute blast being construction crew for the day!

The Team!

As always, our wonderful industry friends came through for us, bringing our vision to life.

We collaborated with Erin and Warren from Happinest Hire, who custom made cement topped hairpin tables to fit the construction theme. Their custom mesh backdrop and metal frame bar counter made for the perfect dessert table party feature. These furniture items were paired with our kiddies ghost chairs and in true Boutique Petit fashion, personalised with construction themed vinyl stickers.

The wonderful Kikki & Franki created the custom round name board which formed part the feature of our backdrop.

Sabena from Fairy Cakes, as always, outdid her self with the two-tier construction themed cake and the accompanying sweet treats, consisting of the most delicious brownies, cupcakes, iced biscuits, marshmallow pops, and rice krispie squares. As did Theresa, from Lemon Salt Design, with our construction themed stationery elements used throughout the party, bringing our vision to life.

Each little guest received a personalised construction hard hat, making them all feel like real construction crew for the day, these were displayed on a wooden board that Jaxson’s dad had made for the party. Waiting for them at their seats were personalised toolboxes filled with sweet treats, snacks and a dough pot party favor from Dough Animal.

Lucky for us, Jaxson’s obsession with construction meant he had loads of diggers & themed toys for us to use throughout the party set up.

Mick Creative was there to capture all the lovely party details and the pure joy of the kids on the jumping castle, snacking on delicious party treats & having the best celebration. The Cape Town weather played along that day, helping make Jaxson’s second birthday a great success!
